Turkish Chess League Game of the Day: Judit Polgar-Rauf Mamedov 1-0

The Turkish Isbank Chess League has begun in Konya Rixos Hotel (Turkey) with defending champions Aquamatch losing to Besiktas Jimnastik Club with a 7-3 score. The only player from Aquamatch club who won was the world's strongest woman chess player Judit Polgar. She beat Rauf Mamedov and later, wrote on her FB page, "For a start, it is always great to have a win!...Black made his final mistake with 34...Bc6 in his time trouble, and I grabbed my chance and did not let it go!”

The “tail-end” of Mersin Ezgi Chess Club and Besiktas Jimnastik Club proved to be stronger today as players from 6 till 10 boards scored 5-0 and contributed to victories of their teams. There were no draws in the match between Adana Truva Chess Club and Antalya Deniz Gençlik Sport Club which finished in favor of Adana Truva Chess Club with 7-3 score.

Denizli Er Bakır Sportl Club and Istanbul Pear Sport Club lost against Ceyhan Belediye Sport Club and Ankara Gazi Üniversitesi Sport Club with minimal score 4,5-5,5 accordingly. İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi Sport Club won against Manisa T.S Alyans Sport Club. Antalya Çallı Spor Kulübü defeated Tarsus Zeka Chess Sport Club 6-4.
