World Chess Championship 2012 - Replay First Game Draw with Chess King

Round 1 Results: Draw Match Score: 1/2-1/2

Viswanathan Anand: “Potentially with the two bishops black could be better. By that point obviously I’m not fighting for an advantage. But my position is position was rather safe as all four rooks were left on the board."

Boris Gelfand: "Although at first glance black appeared to have a better position, he was unable to find a variation that would give a clear advantage. I spent a long time considering my final move, but I couldn’t see a way to improve my position. I did not feel any pressure in my first ever game in a world championship match, a fact that surprised me a little as I had read a lot about it." Photo: Fide.
